Alaskan artist Jon Van Zyle is an Iditarod veteran and a member of the Iditarod Hall of Fame. His paintings, prints, and posters have raised thousands of dollars for the Iditarod Race over the years. The Iditarod Runner and The Iditarod Annual have featured his art and he has been the official Iditarod artist since 1979. Jon is also an award-winning book illustrator. He has had more than two hundred major art exhibitions, as well as several art museum exhibitions in the United States and in Europe. Many pieces of Jon’s artwork reflect his personal experiences along the Iditarod Trail. He and his wife, Jona, live north of Anchorage, Alaska, with their beloved dog team.
